Tiyanna Washington has worked in the field of social services for 7+ years. In 2012 she was published by the National Center for Permanency and Family Connections for her research on children who are bullied in the child welfare system. Mrs. Washington has presented at youth conferences and facilitated workshops throughout the NYC area to empower and encourage youth to be the “best versions of themselves” despite obstacles they may have faced in life. She Currently Mrs. Washington works at one of the largest junior high schools in Queens District 28 as a Licensed Social Worker, servicing youth who have been exposed to violence and other traumatic events. Dubbed by some of her students as the “Youth Guru” Mrs. Washington enjoys the energy and promise she witnesses and experiences from working with the youth population.
